The Real Dill, the award-winning producer behind hand-crafted cocktail mixes, including Bloody Mary and Margarita mixes, has announced the launch of Bold & Smoky Bloody Mary Mix—a robust and savory mix for those who crave rich, fire-roasted depth in every pour. Bold & Smoky is available now online, as well as at participating retailers throughout the United States.
Bold & Smoky Bloody Mary Mix consists of fresh red bell peppers, poblano peppers, onion, garlic, and parsley. Earthy chipotle and smoked paprika are layered in for depth and warmth. The result is a Bloody Mary that leads with earthy, fire-forward complexity and builds gradually. Every batch is made with poblano peppers fire-roasted over an open flame using a dedicated chile roaster at The Real Dill’s Denver production facility.
“Most cocktail mix companies reach for liquid smoke, dried spice blends, canned peppers, and call it done—but we don’t believe in short cuts,” says DuBois. “Every ingredient is intentional, from the fire-roasted poblanos over an open flame to the chipotle that brings natural, smoky heat. Bold & Smoky is for the person who’s been searching for a mix with real roasted flavor, not a chemical approximation of it.”
Co-founders Justin Park and Tyler DuBois launched The Real Dill in Denver in 2012 as a pickle company and a part-time hobby that took on a life of its own. The brand’s Original Bloody Mary mix was born from a happy accident where cucumber-infused water left over from pickling, destined for the drain, became their star ingredient instead. It outsold the pickles and a decade in, they had a Bloody Mary company with a pickle problem. That cucumber-forward profile has defined the brand’s Original and Extra Spicy mixes ever since, earning a loyal following and critical recognition.
“Our Original and Extra Spicy are for the Bloody Mary drinker who loves our style,” says Park. “Bold & Smoky is for everyone else, especially the purist who wants deep, roasted, earthy flavor and hasn’t found a mix that delivers it. It’s the same commitment to fresh, handmade quality, but a completely different destination.”
For The Real Dill, handmade isn’t a marketing term. Every batch is made in-house at The Real Dill’s Denver production facility using whole, fresh ingredients. It’s a “Knife & Board” philosophy—the belief that a production kitchen, done right, can produce something a factory cannot replicate. The company has operated for 14 years without outside investment or co-packers.
The Real Dill is also committed to zero food waste, diverting over 35,000 lbs of organic material annually into compost. All products are clean label with no preservatives, artificial ingredients, or major allergens, and are vegan and gluten-free.
Bold & Smoky is also available at participating retailers in Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri. This product will be available in North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Oregon in the coming weeks.
