Distillers toast George Washington Distillery’s 10th anniversary
It’s been 10 years since the George Washington Distillery at Mount Vernon reopened—and, arguably, since the rye-naissance started to accelerate. To mark the milestone, distillers from across the country gathered at the restored eighteenth-century production facility to craft a limited edition 10th anniversary rye whiskey.
House Spirits announces national release of Westward American Single Malt whiskey
Portland Ore.’s House Spirits Distillery announced the national release of its Westward American Single Malt whiskey, which the spirits producer describes as “a grain-to-glass celebration of the American pioneer spirit, inspired by the best of the American craft beer and whiskey traditions.”

The Bardstown Bourbon Company (BBCo) announced today the appointment of John J. Mack to its board of directors. Mack is the former chairman and CEO of Morgan Stanley, having served in those roles from 2005 to 2011.
