New Orleans entrepreneurs sign letter of intent to buy Tales of the Cocktail

New Orleans natives, Gary Solomon, Jr., founder of Solomon Group, with the support of the Solomon Family, and Neal Bodenheimer of Cure and Cane & Table, two of New Orleans’ most beloved bars and restaurants, have entered into a letter of intent to take over Tales of the Cocktail (TOTC), the beverage industry’s premier cocktail and spirits festival.

As we countdown to the release of my new book, The Drinkable Globe, I’ll be featuring insights, images and videos from various aspects of drinking cultures around the world. This edition features some scenes from London Gin Festival 2017. Gin has been experiencing a worldwide renaissance, the epicenter of which is pretty much where it all began: Great Britain. WSWA: Call for Cocktails Mixology Competition

As if bartending weren’t a high-pressure gig in and of itself, imagine racing against a countdown clock to mix a high-quality craft cocktail for folks scrutinizing your every move. That’s the scene at the Call for Cocktails Mixology competition at the Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America’s 74th annual convention at the Grande Lakes Resort in Orlando. Here’s a quick look:
