I’m hitting the road to promote The Year of Drinking Adventurously. I’ve got a few events on both coasts to announce, with more to follow. If you’re in any of these cities, I hope to see you there! If you’re not, you can get your hands on copies of the book at Amazon and Barnes & Noble!
Wednesday, Dec. 2, 6-8 pm: I’ll be at House Spirits Distillery, 65 SE Washington St., signing books and chatting with distillery co-founder Christian Krogstad about craft spirits
• Thursday, Dec. 3, 5-8 pm: I’ll be signing books at the authors’ table at Holiday Ale Fest, Pioneer Courthouse Square
• Friday, Dec. 4, 8 pm: I’ll be signing at Reverend Nat’s Cidery tap room, 1813 NE 2nd Ave.
Sunday, Dec. 6, 3:30 pm: I’ll be signing books and chatting about adventurous holiday drinks at One More Page Books, 2200 N Westmoreland Street #101 Arlington VA 22213
Friday, Dec. 11, 6 pm: I’ll be in the tasting room at the St. George Spirits distillery, 2601 Monarch St. $15 gets you a flight of six St. George spirit samples. They’ll be pouring, I’ll be signing and chatting.

The launch of my book, The Year of Drinking Adventurously is upon us. And so is Saturday’s (11/21) bar crawl to celebrate said launch! That’s why this week’s The Drinkable Week is shamelessly all about ME! It’s a quick look at what to expect at the crawl, which kicks off at 1:30 pm.
We’ve actually added a seventh stop to the bar crawl to launch The Year of Drinking Adventurously this Saturday, Nov. 21. The first half of the day will have a little more breathing room to accommodate the 7 pm opening of new addition, The Experimental Cocktail Club on the Lower East Side. I’ll be meeting, greeting and signing at every location to stop by at one, a few or all!
So here’s the schedule for Saturday, Nov. 21: • 1:30-3 pm SakaMai (157 Ludlow St., Lower East Side, Manhattan)
• 3:15-4:30 Otto’s Shrunken Head (Tiki bar, 538 E. 14th St., East Village, Manhattan)
• 4:45-6:30 jimmy’s no. 43 (Craft beer, cider and spirits, 43 E. 7th St., East Village, Manhattan)
• 7:00-8:00 The Experimental Cocktail Club (Baijiu cocktails, 191 Chrystie St., Lower East Side, Manhattan)
8:30-9:30 Bushwick Country Club (Birthplace of the pickleback, 618 Grand St., Williamsburg, Brooklyn)
9:30 -10:20 Noorman’s Kil (Whiskey, 609 Grand St., Williamsburg, Brooklyn)
10:30-?: Extra Fancy (Spirits, 302 Metropolitan Ave., Williamsburg, Brooklyn)
Here’s the itinerary for the bar crawl celebrating the launch of The Year of Drinking Adventurously. The six stops encompass many of the beverages featured in the book. I tried to make it as logistically manageable as possible…Most of the stops in the E. Village and Lower East Side are walkable. There’s a direct subway line from the LES to Williamsburg (J, M) so getting to Bushwick Country Club should be fairly simple (and there’s always Uber, if all else fails). These are subject to change, so keep checking this space, the official Facebook page for The Year of Drinking Adventurously and @JeffCioletti and @DrinkableGlobe on Twitter with the hashtag, #Drinking52. You can also track our whereabouts throughout the day, as we’ll be updating regularly.
